Biography
Although renowned for large original oil paintings, Cynthia is very much known for her unique New Zealand inspired proficiently mastered etchings. Cynthia Taylor has painted all her life and has been exhibiting since 1970. Growing up in a family of artists Cynthia has always thought of art as a perfectly natural activity.
"Landscapes remain my first love and the ocean has always played a big part in both my paintings and my life. I grew up beside the sea in Mission Bay (on Auckland's southern shoreline) and I've had a beach house on Waiheke Island for the last 16 years."
