Anna Gedson
Biography
Anna Gedson studied at Wellington Polytechnic and received a Diploma in Textile Design. She combines two different techniques of flax and tapestry weaving to create intricate works that reflect her culture and individual style.
For APEC in 2000 Anna was asked to make gifts for dignitaries and made woven flax ketes for visitors to the Lord of the Rings set. As well as being an avid exhibitor through-out New Zealand Anna has won numerous awards including Young Designer and Maori Art at the Fleece and Fibre Design Awards.
